Context Menu
When you long-press something on a page, WebLibre shows a context menu with actions that match that item.
What you see depends on what you pressed:
-
A normal web link shows link actions
-
An image shows image actions
-
A downloadable file or media link can show save actions
-
An email link can show email-related actions
You will not see every option every time.
Links and Downloadable Files
Long-press a regular web link to see actions such as:
-
Open in new tab — Opens the link in a background tab
-
Open in container — Opens the link in a specific container. This appears only when Show Container UI is enabled.
-
Copy link — Copies the link address
-
Copy link text — Copies the text you see on the page, not the address behind it
-
Share link — Shares the link with Android apps. This row also includes a QR code button.
-
Open in App — Opens the link in another app, if your device has one for that link
For some downloadable links, audio, or video items, you may also see:
-
Save file — Downloads the file to your device
Image Actions
Long-pressing an image can show:
-
Open image in new tab — Opens the image itself in a new background tab
-
Copy image — Copies the image so you can paste it elsewhere
-
Save image — Downloads the image to your device
-
Copy image location — Copies the image’s direct address
-
Share image — Shares the image with another app
You may also see Copy link or Share link if the image is also a link.
Email Links
Long-pressing an email link can show:
-
Share email address — Shares the address with another app
-
Open in App — Opens your mail app, if Android offers one for that link
Depending on the current app version, the copy action for email addresses may not be labeled clearly in the menu.
URL Cleaning Preview
If URL Cleaner is enabled, WebLibre can show a Tracking detected or URL cleaned entry for HTTP and HTTPS links.
Tap it to review which tracking parameters were found before you open the link. If auto-apply is enabled in URL Cleaner settings, the cleaned link may already be applied.
Tips
-
Use Open in container when you want a link to open under a specific container, and make sure that container has Cookie Isolation enabled if you need separate logins or cookies
-
If you do not see Open in container, check whether Show Container UI is enabled in Settings > Browsing
-
If you do not see Open in App, Android may not have a matching app for that link type
-
The menu changes based on what you long-press, so different pages can show different actions
