WebLibre tabs are designed for longevity and efficient resource usage. Tabs remain lightweight in the background, ensuring minimal impact on system resources. With their persistent and searchable nature, tabs can effectively replace traditional bookmarks.

Tab Containers

When you organize tabs into a Container, they automatically inherit the container’s features:

  • Container Cookie Contexts: Each container uses a separate “cookie jar” for privacy and session isolation.
  • Network Settings: Containers can be configured with custom network settings, such as a Tor Proxy.

Search and Indexing

All open tabs are indexed and can be quickly found using the integrated Personal Local Search Engine.

You can organize and visualize all your open tabs using the Tree View Navigation, making it easy to manage complex browsing sessions.

Tab Types

There are two types of tabs in WebLibre:

  • Regular Tabs

    • Persist across app restarts.
    • Retain browsing history and session data.
  • Private Tabs

    • Are erased every time the app restarts.
    • May use different privacy and add-on settings, depending on your preferences.

Conversion:
You can convert a tab between regular and private modes at any time. However, cookies and session data are not transferred between these modes.

Note: Private tabs are ideal for sensitive browsing, while regular tabs are best for long-term sessions and research.
